>About Middle School
The Middle Years Programme (MYP) is for students aged from 10 to 16 and at Shirakatsy Lyceum it starts from grade 5.
It is an exciting and innovative global curriculum that not only takes a rigorous approach to student learning, but also places an emphasis on developing individual skills that are central to becoming a life-long learner. This is a student-centered program that educates internationally minded and curious young people with a focus on the student's social, emotional and academic needs.
The MYP standards are aligned with the aims and requirements of the Armenian national curriculum, preparing students for both the demanding requirements of the IB Diploma Programme and the High School National programme.

Shirakatsy Parliament
The purpose of the Shirakatsy Parliament (ShiP) of Shirakatsy Lyceum is to raise the opinion of students, bring out problems and provide solutions to them. Each student participates in the parliament as part of a committee that focuses on a specific area, and in 3 days they create a document that includes the problems and solutions of the area. As a whole, students submit and vote for the projects they want to implement. Next, the committee leaders implement the projects together with the Student Council. One of the most significant goals of the body is the creation of unity among students. Nane Melik-Stepanyans and Hrach Baghdasaryan are the co-chairs of the Shirakatsy Parliament for the year 2022-2023.
